When I asked my son (5 y.o. at the time) what we should weld next, he asked for a rocket-ship.

Steel + Fire + Somewhere-in-the-middle turned into a “Rocket-ship Smoker.”

Some thought went into the orientation of the rocket. If the ship (cooking tank) stood upright, the smoke would go out the cone – the wrong end of the rocket.

A good friend of mine, also a video-game designer, suggested positioning the rocket at 45 degree angle – the “un-exploded ordinance” look.

It made perfect sense and my son and I enjoyed building it together.
